How much about the war (how much about Nurmegard) do we really know? And how much cherry picking does the Ministry do for us? Too many mudbloods
And why in the bloody fucking world is conscription for wizards even being suggested? It is a barbaric practice that relieves the individual of their right to conscientiously object without appearing to be less than gentleman. Let conscription stay with muggles and mubloods; the rest can sort themselves out.
People who join should do so under the auspices of truly desiring to come to the aide of their country and instead, there are people unfit both physically and mentally shoulder-to-shoulder with real warriors. I am not for conscription.

After having caught a draft while patrolling the hallways for Quidditch paraphernalia, I seem to have come down with something like the flu. All in the name of good sport, however, and I'm sure that only a day or so in bed will bring my constitution back to its iron qualities.
In the meantime ... a dance, a mandatory gift exchange and a new club for the school? Joy of joys. It's like to bring me off my sick bed now instead of later.

Seeing as security in this castle has reached levels of irrelevance, I would like to call on the members of the Slytherin quidditch team (as gentlemen) to not only protect the non-players in the halls but also to round up the balls as quickly as possible.
I'm sure my professors will understand my absence from today's lessons. I plan to roam the halls and catch them myself, if I can. For if Ms Gamp is any example, we simply cannot have these implements endangering our ladies.
